The Winter series opened with some new leadership, new teams, and a wee bit of rink drama... as a smashed end glass in the session before made for a few tense moments flirting with cancellation, but Lawrence Lau and the crack team of rink attendants cleaned things up and got things rolling. Too bad the extra (safety) net left blocking the opening made for a third pylon defensemen or forechecking foreward depending on your vantage, for the entire game, but switching ends at the midway mark helped even the odds. And how even it was as both teams battled hard, but to a stalemated draw as the evenly matched lineups look to make for another entertaining series this winter. Kudos to the new captains: Orson/Cal for Team White and Norm/Jim for Team Dark as they all start their respective campaigns with an impressive 1-game unbeaten streak.
