The MDHL rang out the final game year with no warm-up music due to a dud sound system, but otherwise had a rare night with a referee present to give our penalty-calling captains a break and let the two teams duke it out... and what a tight battle it was, at least for the first half where a 1-1 score held pat. Later on, the goals came in bunches as the odd man rushes started to appear in this penalty-free affair. Team Scrooge found their offence first to pull away from Team Grinch, although the latter found the goal post on at least 3 or 4 occasions. Yes, it was a game of inches and all of a sudden the game appeared out of reach (for one team that is). Our roving photographer (DD) provided a few pics of the action below... and otherwise, another good time had by all and on behalf of Frank and myself, the MDHL wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday season.
