'Nucks (and Mark) both winners tonight.

Almost three months between events, the MDPL finally rings in the new year with (just) match #4 in the works... a long time coming but also an opportunity for everyone to come to the table refreshed and recharged... jersey night was on tap including for Flavio Marquez sporting his tiny-tots version of a 'nucks jersey, just barely earning a majority nod to get his show-em chip tonight.
Otherwise, it was a (surprisingly) conservative night of poker action, but nothing conservative about Mark Yu's game, mowing down most of the opponents en route to victory while Victoria Wong finished off the rest and increasing her sparkling ITM percentage lead with a respectable 3rd place finish too... meanwhile, your host, Jason Lai, had to lay low for most of the evening nursing a modest chipstack and grinding out a stunning runner-up finish (mildly surprising his birthday wife in the process)... while others were not so lucky tonight, notably on an epic cowboys vs. rockets showdown decimating Flavio's big stack and otherwise dominant play until that point... a later start to the night (as the 'nucks won in OT) making for a later finish, but all and all a good night of poker... thanks to everyone for their food and top-up contributions to the house... see you next time.
