The makings of an epic tilt in the series-deciding all-the-marbles type game... and the return of super-sub Aaron Oye looked to tip the scales in the DDT Busters favour, but twas not to be on this evening... as the Ring Burners were equal to the task, starting with some huge first few shifts by Ray Chan tallying two goals for a quick lead and never turning back... DDT appeared on their heels all game long never finding the back of the net in a timely fashion, even with the Oye brothers stacked on the top line... but hockey gods work in mysterious ways, as Aaron fell prey to a skate blade break mid-way in the game snuffing out his participation... while the solid D of the Ring Burners we able to withstand (and outplay) their opposition on this night and take the series in grand fashion... complete with cup-kissing hoisting of the MDHL cup...

Alas, just a small measure of satisfaction was attained by the DDT Busters as they manage to win the shootout thanks to the sudden death off-the-post winner by Sean Oye, and to those victors go the thirst-quenching Gatorade!
