Captain assigned names are in and Team Cactus, lead by Carlos/Ravi will spar with Team Grapefruit with Norm/Ray C all series long, and it was a bit of a prickly affair as Team Cactus win a barn burner on an empty-net nailbiter behind the rookie debut of Frank Astorino and his 4-goal outburst. Team Cactus jumped out to a early lead but the Grapefruit boys did not sour and kept a solid effort with two waves of hard working forwards... eventually clawing back to tie the game 5-5, 6-6 and 7-7... dramatic. Likely Team Cactus would have been sitting prettier on the scoresheet if not for a team high bushelful of off-side calls on this particular night... either way, it was another rookie, Mandeep Khunkun that cemented the victory with a hard working EN goal of this own. Looks like the rookies were the difference tonight and Team Cactus are now on the board with a victory of their own and a tied series to boot.
