A not-so-crazy amount of participants for crazy hat night, but none more crazy than Frank Riccardi who boldly took the impromptu wig offer and wore it for the duration of the evening riding his blond momentum to a co-winning performance... chopping the pot with the host and last-event-champ Jason Lai, to split the loot and in turn, roll forward the unclaimed bounty for another time.
Otherwise, it looked to be a fireworks-in-the-making kind of evening with the all-male cast, and of the (usually) aggressive variety at that, but turned out to be a bit more subdued in a casual night of play... rookie Raymond Chiang made a welcome debut but got knocked out at the exact same time as his cousin, thus making for a easy ride share exit... meanwhile, Norm Chan picked himself up off the mat (a few times) with a meagre stack to round out the ITM finishers and get on the season leaderboard for the first time, while joining Frank and Jason on the hitman team taking down the rest of the competitors on this particular evening.
Our earlier 8:30p start seemed to make for a more enjoyable outing without a marathon stretch into the wee hours. Thanks to all for the chips (and lobster chips), snacks and beer to share... and hope you all enjoyed the sushi too. See you next time.
