Remembrance Day weekend was on tap and wearing your poppy earned you a show-em chip but in a twist of ironies, a few did not remember (!) this, so the girl guide in the house took the opportunity to flog a few more cookies + chips to round things out tonight. A rare dual table event was on tap with a few rookies making their debut, Chris Halim and Lisa Bui, who were part of the J-Lau posse that made a huge splash tonight (and I don't mean the beer spill either)... namely taking down all four ITM placings and schooling the usual MDPL veterans in the process. Gerard Tang continues his poker magic (and a pefect winning percentage) taking top spot (and bounty!), this time not needing any crazy luck resembling his last come-from-way-behind effort, instead mowing down 8 opponents (including the final 6 behind him) en route to victory... with the rookies finishing behind him, and J-Lau rounding out the 4th spot and making his first-ever MDPL leaderboard appearance in the process.
Meanwhile, the losers' lounge saw unprecedented action as the 6-person table was standing room only at times (due to so many losers in the house tonight, your host included), but the mad play saw Norm Chan emerge as the cash game winner (of the losers) and rival the main tourney cash with so many $5 bills jammed into his wallet at the night's end. Good times and thanks to all for sharing your food and drink contributions, extra poker chips and chairs, as well as the generous top-ups to the host.
