In off-ice news, our league has participated in our own X-Mas Angel Program for a few years now, where modest proceeds go towards a worthy (and ideally personal) cause to those in need during the holidays. In past, this has included single mothers on low income, cancer-fighting fathers, and last year, a widowed father, who sent a thank you note found here:

This season we are asking if you know of worthy cause for us to consider. We would rather see the league contribution go towards a personal case vs. big-box-charity-of-choice. Also, any funds you wish to contribute to this is always appreciated (but not expected).
