FALL 2013 SERIES: MDHL GAME #10 REVIEW

Team WINDERMERE 6 vs. Team WORLD 2
Friday, December 6, 2013

A veritable clash of titans tonight as both teams were hungry to seal the deal in the series finale... however, it was Team Windermere who would not be denied as they took their waves of offense to the opposition getting nearly all the quality chances and testing goalie Raymond Chow at nearly every turn... meanwhile, Team World had little to no response and the lone penalty of the night put them on their heels with out-of-sync lines and a mid-game injured player to boot.

The game concluded with each side having 5 wins apiece and the much-anticipated shootout finale would decide both the series victors and thirst-quenched Gatorade recipients too. Both goalies were sharp with just 3 measly goals scored on them in total, with some scintillating (or sad) displays by Bruno Minici with his full lap tire blowout, and Jason Lai who was unable to control the puck for likely the worst-ever attempt seen in MDHL history, but fortunately for him and his side, a successful do-over in sudden death was sweet (and relieving) vindication... so Team Dark emerge victorious, in a fun and hard-fought series to end the calendar year.

Post-game food and drink at a nearby pub conclude the evening with good times for both sides, so to all our players and subs, enjoy your holidays, be safe, and see you in the new year!

MDHL STARS OF THE GAME
  Raymond Chow
Technically the losing goalie, but had a boatload of work and looked great in the process.
  Bruno Minici
Two greasy close-in goals, scored by #17 Bruno Kesler.
  Jason Lai
Gets a shootout mulligan in sudden death to go from goat to series-winner in the blink of a eye.
