The following message is an excerpt from our angel recipient this season... a single mother with a young autistic child in the Burnaby area. Our X-Mas Angel Program (based from our hockey and poker groups, along with personal contributions from Frank and Jason) contributed $600 of combined cash and gift cards, passed to her through a mutual contact. Thanks to everyone that contributed to this worthy cause. J.

This Christmas will be made extra special for my son Ethan, and for me, and this has made my heart melt and warm knowing that there are truly generous people out there. I know that there may be other families out there that may be in the same situation as Ethan and I, however, I was chosen to receive this great act of kindness. There are no words that can express how grateful I truly am. I hope that one day soon, I will be a giver, and I will be able to return the goodness shown to me, to others.

I would like to update you and let you know how I am doing. Please extend my gratitude to everyone, and let all of them know I will forever remember the kindness of the team. Even though I do not know any of you, I hope that I will be able to somehow, someway, return the gift and favor. I am going to be able to get a couple of Lego items for Ethan for Christmas, and I will look forward to making a special Christmas dinner, for Ethan and I. A small turkey and all the works, and yes, leftovers for weeks :) I haven't done one of these dinners in over four years, and this year I can because of you. God bless you and the team.
