First poker event of the new year, thanks to a busy other-schedule by the host... but nonetheless always nice to see the peeps out for some friendly poker... no bounties, show-em chips, or any other gimmicks tonight, but just hard hitting poker prowess on display with none more impressive than Simon Wong who was a late addition to the event and plows his way to a well deserved victory tonight... mowing down six behind him en route to a rout. The rest of us were basically bystanders or road kill depending on your vantage, but other ITM finishes incluided Norm Chan, who gutted out a solid runner-up finish from the ashes... and Gerard Tang, who keeps up an impressive ITM winning ratio with a solid third place finish (and pads his lead atop the standings in the process)... but then again, let's not forget that poker stud Jason Lau winning the whopping $2 cash penalty pot at the hands of late-comer Stan Quan. Thanks to all for their food (and red wine!) contributions tonight and see you next time!
