J-Lau pops his winnng cherry!

Almost two months between events, but the MDPL finally resumed its season and after more than a few starts under his belt, Jason Lau finally prevailed to take the evening's crown in a well paced outing against all comers tonight. His only regret? Not having a bounty themed evening as he mowed down six en route... but his $10 bounty claim on last-event-winner Andrew Tilston's head added some solace no doubt. Meanwhile, Vince Fung takes home the runner-up crown and quietly moves into second spot on the overall standings and could be eyeing his first-ever season title (while J-Lau is hot on his heels, just 3 bucks behind). The infamous $2 penalty fee paid dividends tonight so to speak (and gives Ian Chang his first appearance on our season standings), but will quickly be amended into a "no loose change or break out a fiver" rule thanks to our third runner-up Stan Quan, who took home $42 for his troubles. Otherwise, it was girl-guide-cookie night on tap and the show-em chips were in play, even though the cookie seller arrived late into the play to flog the goods.
