SPRING 2014 SERIES: MDHL GAME #10 REVIEW

Team WHITE 7 vs. Team DARK 11
Friday, June 13, 2014

Seems fitting that Team Dark should bounce back to tie the series and send it to the final 11th game of the series and season... but unfitting in a rare sub-o-rama kind of night with a new look on both sides with a new all-time record 9 subs in the mix... among them, rookie Jack Wong finally made his MDHL debut on the wing with some nice moves, but overall his line did not deliver... at least not nearly to the degree of their counterpart, with a stunning 9 of 11 goals to pace their team to victory. Team White were playing from behind for most of the night and tried valiantly to rally after switching goalies in the late stages, but was not to be, in spite of Raymond Chow and his first-ever career MDHL goal on a nice slapper from the slot as he doffs the goalies pads to play out on this particular evening. So off we go to the final game of the series with a shootout on tap as well. See you there.

MDHL STARS OF THE GAME
  Bruno Minici
A ridiculous 5-goal effort and a personal best no doubt, but only halfway to the league record.
  Mandip Khunkhun
Not to be outdone by his brother-in-law, kicks in 4 goals of his own.
  Jeff Hemmett
Notable tonight but less so for highlight goals and more so for drawing penalties like a trooper.
