So the peak of the season lay in a series-deciding finale with shootout on tap as both teams wanted it badly. However, one side was hungrier than the other as the early tight-checking no-scoring game was finally tilted for Team White was they kept the pedal to the metal all night... while Team Dark sputtered from the get-go with a ragtag lineup as well as a mid-game Luongo bathroom break for one center not helping matters either... the ensuing juggling of forwards and defence and odd penalty/offside calls were enough to rattle the one team ending up with a goose egg on the scoresheet. Who knew? With the cup already history, Team Dark proceeded to suffer the double-whammy as they lost the coveted Gatorade battle losing the shootout 4-2 to Team White and their snipers. Off to BP for the season-ending food and drink and good times for all. See you all in the fall and have a great summer!
