FALL 2014-15 SERIES: MDHL GAME #1 REVIEW

Team WHITE 4 vs. Team DARK 10
Friday, September 19, 2014

So our 20th season kicks off with a bang as Team White led by Orson Low and Albert Chang face off against Team Dark led by Bruno Minici and Frank Riccardi. And what a steller debut it was as Captain Minici raises the bar to an all-time high by greeting his team with new jerseys, a gatorade cooler and a locker room pep talk for the ages. The only thing missing were the hookers and blow during the victory celebration for a game which they thoroughly dominated in a 10-4 trouncing aided by a few exceptional subs too. Could the ice be any more tilted tonight as it was a virtual shooting gallery at one end of the rink while Team White did make it interesting at the 4-2 mark ringing the bar no less than five times on the evening... but close is only good enough in horseshoes and hand-grenades as they say. Looks like a new game plan needs to be drawn up for Team White and a steroid-laced Gatorade cooler of their own could help too.

MDHL STARS OF THE GAME
  Bruno Minici
Better retire now on a high note after his captaincy debut, a huge victory and hat trick to boot.
  Ravi Naidu
Broke some sort of personal goal drought dating back to last season we surmise.
  Ray Yee
Starts the season on the IR but shows up anyways to support his team and league. What a trooper.
