The first 2-table outing of the season kicked off and it was more the merrier on this evening as a holiday food hamper was put together thanks to everyone's generousity. In return, those show-em chips (hopefully) came in handy, but only the four ITM winners could really say it helped. After all the dust settled, Mike Nishi and Mark Yu played bridesmaids (but laughing with our $ in their hands no doubt) while a heads up collision took place with (relative) newcomer Jon Shih taking it from last season's runner-up finisher Gerard Tang in a mega battle of chips. To add to his mastery, Jon takes out an event-high 5 participants including the coveted last-event-winner $10 bounty and puts himself into second overall in the standings to-date. All told, it was a good outing with a few new faces in Jackie Lushao and Edward Law welcomed to the group while each finishing in a respectable mid-pack. Thanks to Ian Chang who played co-TD tonight along with his chip set and chairs to make the event run smoothly. Mucho gracias for all the snacks, drinks, red wine and of course the complimentary buy-in for the host. Much appreciated. "Til next time!
