Happy New Year… more so for 3 of us.

The first event of 2015 kicked off with minimal lead time, minimal prep, and minimal photos, but maximum buy-in for one shark tonight… as Mark Yu sets a league high water mark with a $110 buy-in during a crazy first round of play… yes, that's 4 rebuys for those of you in the know... nonetheless, he and Peter Choi (also flirting in the multi-rebuy territory) both regrouped nicely in the elimination stage to join the tourney host as ITM finishers tonight. Both Jason and Peter duked it out heads-up for awhile but upon realizing their stacks were nearly even (to the dollar?) they agreed on an amicable chop, out of respect (and fear?) of each other no doubt. Meanwhile, Herb Chan made a rare return to this league if only to give his brother-in-law some choice lip service at the table for everyone's entertainment. Alas, now 6 events in, Jason nudges ahead of Walt Woo atop the season standings sitting on a slim five dollar lead. Thanks to everyone for making it out (on short notice too). See you next time!
