Someone must have mentioned clamp-down playoff hockey in the cards, or else the goalies are slamming the door shut tonight... either way it was a low scoring affair with the red light turned on just four times (new record low?)... both sides had sweet chances but goalies Norman Lee and Wayland Young seemed to have an answer in most cases... special teams played a unique role tonight as a broken stick and accidental spear leaves Ray Chan with a memorable souvenir for a few days no doubt (while he strongly considers buying a larger cup), whereas in a separate play, his brother Gord ends up with a rare unsportsmanlike penalty for stopping the play without that coveted C on his sweater, all in the heat of battle of course... good times.

MDHL STARS OF THE GAME    Raymond Chan  Anyone that writhes in pain over a groin shot is a trooper and deserves a pity star.    Norman Chan  The perp in said nether region play, but also returns an engaged man so that is a star in any book.    Norm Lee  Great reaction saves and building his rep nicely in his rookie season.
