A rare recap in place here but for the season closer, what the hey. So the MDHL closed the series and season with the final 14th game on an evening that started with movie night beforehand, with just 4 of us watching the (somewhat) entertaining, yet brainless Independence Day sequel. Far more entertaining was the spirited and low-scoring tilt on ice to follow with a capacity crowd (of 4) in the stands. Both teams worked for every inch and scoring chance, but Team Dark prevailed to push the series outcome to the shootout, where they took it 4 goals to 1, but someone forgot to bring along the MDHL trophy for presentation purposes, so you will all have to take my word for it. Nonetheless, mere minutes after final buzzer, all is likely forgetten as most everyone piled into BP for our annual year end party and some social time. Who can complain when pizza and beer is on tap? On behalf of Frank and myself, have a great (and safe) summer. See you in the fall or earlier we hope.
