Familiar faces, and one rookie.

Looks like the MDPL season is back, following consecutive weekends for another hastily assembled (but quick to reply) event that fielded 10 keeners all ready to get their poker freak on. Looks like whiskey is the new addition to this season, as well as MDHLer and now MDPLer, rookie Carlos Alves, who tests his mettle and impressively comes up ITM in his debut. No small feat for this crowd, considering there were a few chips flying around, thanks in part to Andrew's ample plays and generous rebuys helping to juice the pot (and his $2 late fee to the pot was entertaining too). Otherwise, it was a Whitecaps match day but the team didn't fare well earlier today and the omen spilled over to the current and ex-staffers here, all falling 10,9,8,7 to bring up the caboose in the standings tonight. Meanwhile, Norman and Dharmesh duke it out heads-up for the honours of the night and make the season leaderboard in the process. Ian Chang, the mentoring veteran that predates this entire circuit, comes up on the bubble boy status, a familiar spot for him in events past.
