First game of the new year, and the pace was surprisingly quick for a bunch of old guys having indulged over the holidays. New captains (Frank/Carlos and Norm/Jason) were instilled, as were new rules surrounding crease occupation and goalie protection, and the former yielded more than a few no-goal rulings tonight as both sides get into the swing of things. Otherwise lots of back and forth lead changes, mistakes and chances everywhere. Pretty much what you might expect for a first game back after a layaway. The worst part of the night? No hot water in the showers! :(
