WINTER 2019 SERIES GAME #7 REVIEW

Team DARK 5 vs. Team WHITE 3
Friday, February 22, 2019

A relatively low scoring affair tonight, thanks in part to the stellar play of both sub-in goalies Marcus and Wilson, between the pipes and making brilliant saves at both ends of the rink... amidst a much improved tactical (and crisp) attack from both sides compared to last week. Team Dark had a bit of adversity as Henry Leung suffers an equipment malfunction mid-game (not quite a blown up Nike sneaker) but a skate blade came undone and it was off to the locker room for not-so-quick repairs as the lines were shufffled as a result... meanwhile Team White mounted their attack in waves as the dreaded Riccardi-Naidu-Alves AKA the no-chinese-guys-here line were dangerous all night long. Nonetheless Team Dark perservered in this high energy tilt and clung to a late one goal lead until Jason Lai added a late insurance marker to relieve the mounting pressure. Team White now have their work cut out for them a they head into its final three games of the series (and season) and needing a few wins to even up the rivalry.

MDHL STARS OF THE GAME
  Jason Lai
A rare PPG and late insurance marker as just rewards for all that cherry picking.
  Ravi Naidu
Missed a few games yet back in flying form with some good energy tonight.
  Kent Polich
Played his swan song game for the season as he leaves us for Brazil and the Carribean. Tough life.
