Winner, winner, curry chicken dinner.

And yet again, from our MDPL guest host, DD:
Norm Chan took this evening's affair in style with some great plays down the stretch including taking out the host with pocket sixes and seal the deal for yours truly to be bubble boy a third straight time (with a Jay Lau acting as his personal cheerleader). The evening started with a feast of two types of curry chicken, naan, rice, salad, pappadam. Thanks to those that supplied some nice wines to go with a filling supper. It was some good eats with great company to make the dinner memorable.
Getting back to the poker, Jay Lau apparently didn't win one hand the entire night, however, he and Jay Lai and the host did enjoy a very nice bottle of scotch to forget the agony of defeat. Seemed to be a night for 3s... we saw plenty of flops with those cards coming into play... never seemed to lose, including a hand where both Simon and I had 2-3 with Steve going all in on his ace. We of course folded (in error) as we should have trusted the trusty 3ss... we would have taken Steve out as the river flopped a third 3 and it would have given us trips. Would of, could of, should of... Congrats to Ian for taking over the maid of honor role from Vince (who was not present btw) and to Steve for coming third place. Thanks to all that brought booze and snacks and a special thanks to Norm for picking up the host's buy-in at the beginning of the night... good karma goes a long way!
One a side note, the 'clubhouse' is going to be rented for September 1st so we'll likely be having one FINAL event there in August with 'bubbles' possibly being the theme... date TBA. DD.
