Season opener with fresh laundry.

Before the event got underway, we recognized our last season champ, Mark Yu, and his total purse of just under $1K including the big victory at event #100. Congrats to the man for a truly memorable performance!
And on with (yet another) season opener, we returned to the Lai household (after an enjoyable summer of guest host outings), it was wear-a-clean-white-shirt night and nearly everyone managed to do their laundry and show up in style. Child labour was also employed to clean the grease and grime from our oft-used cards in preparation for the events to come. It was great to renew acquaintances and get back to crazy poker action, save for a unique misdeal situation never before seen in a decade of MDPL play, and even stumped the TD (yours truly) and veteran in attendance (Vince Fung) and ended up not being the most ideal outcome for the players involved, but also renews the dealer and player responsiblities in a hand, and a lesson learned (if and when a next time should occur).
Nonetheless, it was a good time for everyone to flex their poker chops and our ITM finishers were happy to get on the leaderboard with the final sexually charged one on one showdown with eventual champ Lynn Wilcott, doing the sixty-nine while runner-up Norm Chan was Jack-King-off (say that line a few times quickly, haha). Meanwhile, Warren Cheng rounds up third place and is quietly putting together an impressive winning percentage since joining the MDPL circuit as a rookie last season.
Thanks to everyone for contributions to the evening, including RED wine, whiskey, chicken wings, snacks, and a special shout out to Mark Yu, for producing a shiny batch of MDPL branded show-em chips to add to our baller status.
