Cue the Rocky theme music. Team White manage the unthinkable, coming back from a 4-1-1 series deficit to rattle off 4 straight wins to take the series in the deciding game in an 11-5 landslide in the final game of the calendar year. Who woulda thunk it, but queue up the cliches of hard work, grit, determination and of course some puck luck. Team White, however, not to be deterred, did have some measure of redemption, taking the series ending shootout in a convincing 5-3 fashion and quenching their thrist with some icy Gatorade to boot. Fun series, fun year. The MDHL wishes all players and subs a safe and happy holidays. See you all in the new year!
