Festive cheer with an alumni returnee too.

Our annual fundraiser for the season was held later than usual, hence able to accommodate an original alumnus (and now Toronto based) Jeff Yu, making an uber rare appearance, reuniting with many familiar peeps. While it was evident he was happy to be here, you would think he would get in on the action, yet his Corsi hands-played-per-hour rating was at an all time low, but he evidently knew what was up, as he patiently staked his way to a fine 3rd place showing and pads his solid ITM performance numbers in the process.
Meanwhile, your host had an almost-story to tell as his late stage charge from just 50 measley chips (thanks to his own donkey play) built up to a respective stack but ultimately did not pan out as eventual champ Ian Chang stopped him in his tracks en route to victory. However, Ian (AKA Noodle), was gracious enough to award his bounty gift to the hapless host (along with the other generous ITM finishers passing along some of their gifts as well). Norm Chan (he of the 2nd most appearances on the MDPL circuit) played some solid poker in a runner-up finish taking down 4 bounty gifts (tied with Ian, but the Top 3 turned out to be the only hitmen of the evening). Congrats to the winners, and back to the drawing board for the rest of us (with Festivus too!).
It was a fun and festive night, with a respectable $220 raised for the Mad Dogs Angels Fund, so a hearty thank you to all for that, and of course, for your food and drink contributions to the evening too. The MDPL wishes everyone a safe and happy holidays. See you in 2020!
