The hoodies were rocked en masse tonight and accordingly, so were the show-em chips, but it was them peeps with their official MDPL hoodies that enjoyed an extra perk and some early excitement with a bonus cards-up-showdown for an extra $200 chip, and Stan Quan took it with his Ace holding up... but was it enough when it mattered?
Not so, as the night kicked off with the usual play and rebuys, but also started with Ray C winning a $5 (late fee) cash pot bonus thanks to a tardy (but upbeat) Simon Wong. Meanwhile an unprecedented (yet unanimous) decision saw our lone fan on the sidelines, Blaise Gantala, come off the bench to replace the busted (and broke) student, MJ bowing out at the break for a surprise change up. Plan almost worked as she came out 'blazing' winning multiple hands and gaining momentum but utlimately ran out of patience as the night wore on. She did, however, gamely stick around with your host to deal/shuffle cards get us to the finish line.
Ultimately, it was a stellar threesome, including rookie Walter Works making a fine debut in third place (including the bounty win) while original Walter Woo finishes runner-up in his second straight outing (and spiking his beloved Jacks on more than a few instances). Meanwhile, it was Dharmesh Dass, who takes it all down for sweet victory and much deserved too for this original gangsta who hails from way back to season one. Thanks to everyone that made it out and for your usual food and drink contributions!
