WINTER 2020 SERIES GAME #9 REVIEW

Team WHITE 7 vs. Team DARK 5
Friday, March 13, 2020

And... before we know it, with Covid-19 closing everything else down around us it seems, the shortest MDHL season in history (just 19 games) coincidentally comes to a close too, but not without a little excitement on ice and a guest referee in Dharmesh Dass skating around and trying to avoid those big bodies flying by. Our final game also yielded the league debut of goalie Jon Brietkopt, making the jump from poker player to winning goalie in a smooth MDPL to MDHL crossover, standing tall in a tight matchup with many a chance at both ends of the ice... just like it should be. Afterwards, a bunch of fine fellows made their way over for our annual season ending party complete with a mess of chinese food and beer, all making for a cheat day well deserved. Wishing everyone a safe and healthy off-season and remember to wash those hands. See you in the fall, if not sooner.

MDHL STARS OF THE GAME
  Jonathan Brietkopf
Makes his league debut with a solid win between the pipes. No pocket pair needed.
  Ronald Lai
Outscoring his brother all series long, and with timely goals at that.
  Dharm Dass
Dons the ref whistle and volunteers his time, just to get yelled at too, what a trooper.
