Arrroooh! A three week break for some fresh air has now passed and the usual suspects of the MDPL were howling to get back at it. Some members (four in fact), have appeared in all 11 online matches to-date, putting them in gambling degenerate territory no doubt. Nonetheless, there was plenty of hot and heavy betting action early on, possibly reflecting the urges to get right back into the fray, or else just great hole cards that needed to be played.
Either way, that rather silent, and now invisible assassin (based on disappearing into his own Zoom background), Gerard Tang, likely buoyed by his recent Top 10 showing in a 2,000+ player tourney... takes top honours tonight, including the prized bounty, and is now knocking on the door of the overall season lead, while also leading the online bankroll money rankings. Quite the performance indeed.
Meanwhile, other trends have continued, as Jon Brietkopf, makes another dramatic swing in performance, this time bowing out first (but not donating the extra rebuys, fortunately for him)... while last event champ Norm Chan, just misses the ITM cut as the bubble boy with those stalwarts: Walt Woo, Steve Bridge and Vince Fung rounding out the podium tonight. Nice job, gentlemen. Our current season is now on the tail end and the leaderboard is jam packed at the top of the heap.... oh the suspense.
