Beware of guys named Jason

Slightly smaller crew on tap today as the world slowly opens up and weekend activities creep in, but a few peeps rallied to take seats in the 48 hours prior, so thanks to Jon B, Jon S, Hu and Stan for shoring up the numbers tonight. With poker action underway, the last champ Gerard Tang, riding that huge wave of momentum from the previous event, could not get it in gear and fell behind with two rebuys and an early exit for his efforts. I guess the poker gods were not in his corner tonight.
Instead, a pair of Jasons found their own momentum, channelling that mythological warrior Jason (sans Argonauts) and battled their way to a storybook 1 - 2 finish tonight. It was yet another great worst-to-first story for Mr. Lau, whose IOU bankroll was looking pretty sad there, but his clean-shaven, alcohol-free, laser-focussed effort paid off with a masterful victory, and your loyal host was more than happy to accept runner-up honours. Eric Lau did well too to take 3rd place (after many weeks away from our little circuit) but is likely still stinging after suffering that river/turn beat, while cagey vet Lynn Wilcott manoevers his way into the 4th spot over the rest of the troops. Our season now looks to wind down with the top of the season leaderboard somewhat unchanged, but the final events will surely change that.
