Second Wave Rolls In

If there is such a thing as Covid fatigue, then the MDPL could be a small remedy. As infections are rising during the second wave (and most of us have had plans dashed in one way or another lately) at least 15 of us could sit back and safely enjoy some online poker tonight.
Whoever leaked the (fake) news that Raymond Chow was a birthday boy, sure made him feel special as he rocketed his way to an early chip lead over the pack, but any birthday surprise was not to be tonight as he refunded those chips, incuding two more rebuys and crashed out soon thereafter. The 2 re-buy clause (or curse?) was also invoked by Steve Bridge (while giving private poker tips to his off-camera friend) and Vince Fung, who collectively made up the bottom three finishers of the event... but some solace went to Vince who nabbed the random $10 door prize landing on the 15th and last spot ironically. Eric Lau played with house money for the night as the lucky recipient of the previous Movember winning buy-in waiver prize, but just a bottom-half finish was in his cards tonight.
Your top-half ITM finishers were some usual suspects, including Markus Yu, with a solid runner-up placing and taking the $10 bounty from the last champ (Simon Wong) in the process too, while Dharmesh Dass and Jon Brietkopf took 3rd and 4th positions leaving your hapless host in the bubble position. Meanwhile, that familiar force Gerard Tang, takes the win and regains top position in the standings with his usual (mostly) silent assassin presence in the Zoom meeting, but was extra silent tonight with some headphone and audio issues. Use that prize cash to get some new gear bud!
