A Unicorn Sighting Tonight

Welcome to a new calendar year, yet we continue online, thanks to this damned Covid reality. For those of us that made it out (just a few shy of two full tables) it was a momentus event akin to a unicorn sighting... as the mythical 3-peat happened, with Gerard Tang, that silent assassin, manages the dirty deed while amassing a fortune in chips early on and leaving total destruction in his path throughout. The only solice for everyone else is a triple-sized bounty awaiting for the next event! Meanwhile, those other cagey vets also finished ITM, Vincent Fung and Simon Wong, collectively making up the top 3 on the leaderboard and quickly separating themselves as the cream of this season crop. A solid showing by Warren Cheng in just his second outing took third place honours too.
The MDPL also christened two rookies, Kelvin Leung and Terence Kwong, who fit into the group nicely, while Kelvin finished strong in the double-bubble position too. Uncharacteristically, J-Lau crashed out before the first break (a rarity in our circles) leaving one less slot for the random door prize draw at the break, which fell into the 15th position where Norman Chan (gratefully?) scooped it up for his troubles. A rare Friday night outing is in the books and was great to see everyone start 2021 safe and sound too. See you next time!
