Inaugural Golf Event... About time too.

Summer flew by and while many casual golf outings happened, an informal plan to play a nice round at Northview (Canal) turned into a more formalized event as MDG players connected the dots. What started as a plan to show an uncle a good time for some passed-along clubs... morphed into a larger group, thanks to Hugh Lam and his booking initiative to find close connecting tee times at the same venue and a bunch of Mad Dogs piling in to fill things up. All told we had (Uncle) Lambert, Kyle, Dharmesh, Henry, Hugh, Howard, Ray and J-Lai making up back-to-back foursomes... and the inaugural Mad Dogs KP competition was born... complete with custom KP flags made on a whim too. Of course we all hacked and whacked every which way out there for a good time on a great sunny day and Henry came through with 2 big KPs and J-Lai took one as well, both being from the lead group.
The second group (getting to enjoy, or else get intimidated by those flags in view) somehow managed to miss the greens on all of their attempts but at least they got the chance to hit into the lead group for lulz. With one KP uncontested, at the end of the round, Dharmesh delivered the goods (as the lone shooter to hit the green) when all 8 tried for the final KP on an extra 19th hole to end the evening... like gunslingers re-enacting our own shootout at the OK Corral (or is that the KP Korral)?
Good times gents, let's look for the sequel in the last weekend of August next year too.
