While Team White sewed up the series a few games back thanks to rattling off five victories after the mid-series trade, thanks in part to some spectacular sub appearances, the remaining two games were played as rare home-and-home two game aggregate format for the coveted Gatorade. A close and spirited matchup as both teams had chances and no sub tipped the scales either. The first leg was a close 7-6 match in favour of Team White...

During the action tonight, an unfortunate groin situation put goalie Ray Chow out of action mid-game and it was a post-or-crossbar situation shared by both sides while the score line was still tight. With only a minute on the clock, Derrick Elding broke the tie with a slow motion dinger off the base of the bar to seal the deal for Team White and ring out the calendar year and series.

Good times had by all and capped off with a fine post-game meal at On Lok Restaurant, courtesy of Dharmesh Dass and his appreciation for the recent Movember fundraising effort. The league is now on holiday hiatus, and Frank and I wish everyone a safe and peaceful Christmas and look forward to seeing you back on the ice in the new year!
