Team Feast 7 vs. Team Beast 6 OT Friday, April 8, 2005
Spring hockey resumes after a three week hiatus... a few new faces and a new goalie tandem... after the pre-series vote, Ron Pong and Chris Archibald get the nod to lead Team White, while Derek Lowe and Travis Wong lead Team Dark... considering the layoff, bigger ice and new chemistry, both sides lacked full speed intensity and flow, but it didn't stop Team Dark from jumping out to a 3-0 lead against the young phenom netminder Calvin Cheng, while on the other end, Jay Estoque felt a barrage of his own giving up 3 unanswered to tie the game at 3 apiece (including a semi own-goal off his butt)... Travis Wong and Albert Chang played well for their respective sides keeping the scores close all game long with good chances by each team... all under the watchful eye of guest referee Jason Lai (who hopes none of you noticed the missed calls)... in the end, it was a sudden death OT situation and stalwart sub Aaron Oye led the charge while rookie Dennis Chan played hero to pick up the garbage and get the winner... meanwhile Anthony Chang watches the latter part of the game from the sidelines with equipment troubles but his team gets the W nonetheless.
