2005 SPRING SERIES: GAME #3 REVIEW

Team Feast 9 vs. Team Beast 3
Friday, April 22, 2005

Team Feast continues to roll with their series undefeated streak on another victory over Team Beast... pre-game strategy had Team Beast captain Ron Pong shrewdly negotiating a sub swap getting Si Wong in return for Raymon Hsiao... a probable backfiring move in hindsight as he unknowingly received "damaged goods" in the process as Simon nurses a foot injury... while Raymon went on do damage with his steady play and potent attack from the blueline coupled with always-dependable Rich Chang subbing in for bro-in-law Anthony... in any case, it started as a tight game in the first half with score deadlocked at 1-1 for the longest time... Jason Lai returns from the DL to test his healed elbow (which was fine, thanks for asking) and puts up 3 under captain Derek Lowe's "always attack, never defend" strategy... while Team Beast were hard pressed for offense all night sorely missing their assistant captain Chris Archibald for the second time in the first three games... but their highlight was stalwart defencemen Jackson Chiu opening a can of whoop ass catching Stan Quan with his head down... meanwhile Team Beast got jobbed on a non-call by Team Feast's blatant too many men on the ice but those captains gotta keep their eyes peeled... at the midway point the floodgates were opened and Team Beast skaters couldn't keep the pace with the opposition... in other notes, rookie Dennis Chan continues his scoring streak with pair of goals raising his stock in the league, while a rare bright light continues to be Allen Leung on the losing side with a gritty effort and a sweet wraparound goal on a solo effort...
