Team WHITE 5 vs. Team DARK 1

Happy new year peeps. MDHL returns for the first game of 2024 to work off the holiday overeating in a -10 degree cold snap. New teams, new series and a few new faces too. It was also a welcome return of newly elected Team Dark captain Albert Chang, returning from the IR, but we lose stalwart goalie Wayland Young to the IR for the first leg of the series unfortunately. Assistant Jeff Ho returns for a second leadership term, while Kyle Uno and Calvin Cheng get the nod to lead Team White. Action was tight for the majority at a 2-1 score, but Dark players fell by the wayside with shoulder, skate and gout issues and as such, Team White pulled away to seal the win and draw first blood.
