Western Conference 13 vs. Eastern Conference 9 Clark makes his series debut for the West… Friday, November 15, 2002
Same score as last week although different teams resulted in the outcome.
Once again, by hockey god intervention no less, the league's busiest sub,
Basse Clement, extends his personal unbeaten streak to five games, making an
unofficial MDHL record so we presume.
The West featured Clark 'The Missing
Link' Lim in his first game back this season, while also debuting the East
drop-in appearance from Smokey-sibling (and despised Rangers' fan) Paul
Smith. Both players had great performances in their debuts. The game was
hi-tempo all night long with both goalies using their heads (literally) in
making great saves on both ends of the rink. The East were unable to repeat
last game's lethal offense from the formula "Wong + Chang x 2 = Victory"
line, while the West were propelled on Allen Leung's five goal effort.
Sherman Woo had a rare start on the West Wing (which ironically is his
favourite TV show) but was unable to light the lamp with his select chances.
In the game's only penalty, West captain Jason Lai blew the whistle on
himself (honest or foolish, you be the judge) after delivering a sweet
can-opener to his counterpart captain from the East but they were unable to
capitalize in the final outcome.
MDHL 3 Stars:
3. Clark Lim... solid on D in his season debut along with some great
offensive chances.
2. Albert Chang... great two-way play including a hard-earned two goal
effort in losing cause.
1. Allen Leung... five goals, 'nuff said. |
