2005/06 FALL SERIES: GAME #5 REVIEW

Team Murder Inc. 9 vs. Team G-Unit 7
Friday, October 28, 2005

After two straight losses, Team Murder Inc. storm back with a win and the series lead at the mid-way mark... despite captain Anthony Chang's uncharacteristically minimal offense... but blame it on a pair of new skates in that case... goalie Norm Chan comes up big for the win, stopping hapless winger Jason Lai on more than a few occasions in cold... but does manage to surrender a long awaited goal by Gord Chan... meanwhile Dave Wong turns in a stellar performance on D in a losing cause... Sherm Woo takes his second penalty in as many games and a marginal call at that while much uncalled rough stuff is let go as Chris Stampvincent riles the opposition and in return, Colin Lee fells captain Ron Pong in a solid open ice collision... regardless, Murder Inc. controlled most of the game with intensity all night long and in a late 7-7 tie, it was Travis Wong and Aaron Oye sealing the game with late goals... one on a great 3-way passing play and the other on a solid individual effort, sliding into the boards to boot.
