A new league record!... for subs in a game... no less than 8 replacements making for nearly a 33% change up and turning any concept of team chemistry upside down... when it was all said and done, there were 27 skaters present and a then-assumption that our famed online sub replacement system had screwed up (again?)... among the replacements included the rookie debut of Peter Johnson... faring well amidst an otherwise sloppy (okay, let's call it ugly) game with not much flow... regardless, the new MDHL 6-goal-differential goalie swap rule was invoked by interim captain Stan Quan... only after the mid-way point in an otherwise salvagable 4-1 score... when acting captain Derek Lowe opted to trade off overloaded team mate and sub forward Trevor Lai... who promptly played his first shift scoring two goals and finishing with a hat-trick against his former team... pulling away to 8-2 for Team Dark, they rolled on to win handily... ironically, that same forward was the in fact, the sub culprit who mistakenly misread his sub confirmation date which accounted for the overload... oh the irony of it all... otherwise, the winning team managed 14 goals with neither team looking too pretty in the process... Kevin Ma pops a usual highlight rush goal, but couldn't make up for the offense expected by missing captain Anthony Chang... twin brother Albert added some offense with a great effort, as did the sophomore debut of Lonny Wong who fared much better than in his previous outing…

MDHL STARS OF THE GAME    Kenny Chiu  Rekindled his offense with a sweet slapper and an even sweeter deflection.      So effective, he could play with the Zamboni driver and the line would still go.    Trevor Lai  Traded midway and ends up being the turning point. View the lifetime game star tally.
