2006 WINTER SERIES: GAME #10 REVIEW

Team SixtySix 13 vs. Team NinetyNine 10
Friday, March 10, 2006

The final game of the series winds down with another sub-o-rama including Nixon Tham pulling another last-minute sub-in to complete the roster... Rich Chang introduces another Cossette newbie into the mix as Peter Kambo makes his debut with his only expectation of 'not falling on his teeth'... Team NinetyNine make the dubious move of starting with the less favoured goalie but soon find time working against them after the six-goal differential swap… the lead never changed hands but just inched closer (and farther) after spotting the six goal lead… amidst conspiracy theories and accusations of dogging the efforts… whatever the case Team NinetyNine's productive subs had more trouble lighting the lamp than in previous outings, including the four-goal studs, Raymond Toy and Lonny Wong... meanwhile Team SixtySix rode the usual horses to victory, namely the Oye brothers and some great sub showings by Kevin Ma and Vince Kwok... so the series wraps up and the exhibition game and spring series (in Richmond) is now on tap... MDHL bids a fond farewell to non-returning regulars (and in some cases, veterans of many years) including Anthony Chang, Sean Oye, Aaron Oye, Colin Lee, Kenny Chiu, Mike Nguyen, Derek Lowe, Rich Chang, Jason Chu and both our goalies Shelby Lui and Norm Chan, as most of the latter group invade the ICE604 league this Spring... good luck to that squad and perhaps we'll see them all back in due time…

One of the best this league has seen in recent memory.
  Raymond Toy
No 4-goal outing, but did produce and work hard nonetheless.
