2006 SPRING SERIES: GAME #3 REVIEW

Team Biretta 7 vs. Team Magnum 10
Friday, April 28, 2006

The best game of the series to-date... not exactly precision style plays, but lots of open ice and chances at both ends... Travis Wong returns to the lineup after missing last game and makes immediate impact with Captain Albert Chang and Toli Sidiropoulos... the latter having his best output in his young career to-date as the trigger man on this line... a highlight hit saw Terry Wong and Lawrence Lau meeting up close and personal, with Wong getting the worst of it... otherwise it was a close game deadlocked at 4-4, Team DARK make a line change switching up centermen and igniting some offense under the butt of Nixon Tham, also missing from last week's game but coming to life to help build a sizable lead... a late charge from Team WHITE closed the gap to 7-10 but taking a late penalty in the offensive zone sunk their chances of a comeback... G Calvin Cheng makes a few stellar saves to get the win, while G Ken Takeda takes his first loss of the series...

MDHL STARS OF THE GAME
  Toli Sidiropoulos
Trigger man comes to life as he starts to gel with his new mates.
  Nixon Tham
Provided the much needed offensive spark to break the deadlock.
  Albert Chang
Leading by example albeit in a losing cause.
