For the first time in a long time, attendance issues strike the MDHL… already fielding no less than 7 subs in the lineup with 3 other spots gone unclaimed, more havoc ensues as GM Stan Quan goes down during pre-game prep with a vast array of symptoms… with a pending hospital visit averted, this trooper opts to tough it out in spirit and lay nearby as doctor-on-call Calvin Cheng suits up for the mid-way mark only to see his team taste defeat… with all the hoopla, both teams were forced to start play with 4 on 4 while sub Rich Chang plays recruiter on the spot to claim a body from the hallways… with Team Beretta missing all usual captains, Lonny Wong and Toli Sidoropoulous assume the roles and lead a lunch bucket crew of hard workers onto victory… in spite of Team Magnum's captain Jason Lai and his measley six points in a losing cause… the game was close throughout and even sparked some offense from Tommy Wong with a timely goal, yet it was ultimately hard work and unconventional goals that salted the win for Team Beretta led by a rare sub appearance by Gon Yip and his knack for scoring goals using some size and open spots, but definitely not speed. Look for Team Beretta to continue the momentum and try to tie the series next week!
