2007 SPRING SERIES: GAME #10 REVIEW

Team LIGHTNING 9 vs. Team THUNDER 8
Friday, June 22, 2007

The final game of the series (and season) wraps up, and fittingly it appears, Team Lightning take the victory and seal their series domination with a convincing 7 win series... looked like another dogfight with Team Thunder jumping out to a 3-0 lead... spurred by a Stampvincent family feud with Fraser scoring a few sweet deke move goals for Team Thunder, while on the other side, both Chrises did damage using their reach and playmaking abilities (and also showing a new fashion statement wearing cargo pants in his ensemble)... super-sub Mark Kondo deserves some kind of award for frequent sub-ins this series, and showed his stellar speed and mobility tonight yet again... in the end after Team Thunder relinquished their early lead to fall behind 4-8, only to come back to tie 8-8 it had the makings of a Cinderella comeback, but alas, Jim Chan seals their fate in the dying minutes as a defensive hole left him all alone in front... and thus the hockey gods have spoken. To all the MDHL regulars and subs... have a great summer and look for more hockey action back in the fall (rink/logistics TBD).
