And so the new year rings in with the battle of Canuck themed teams with Travis/Jax at the helm of Team Crawford, while Jason/Lawrence ran Team Vigneault, all the while welcoming league newbies, Frank Riccardi, Greg Colombo and Ray Yee (absent on this night). Alas it was a run-n-gun Team Crawford did not disappoint fielding a monumental triple-crown 5-star-apiece line of Oye-Wong-Tham and had their way all night long harkening back to the days of Bertuzzi-Morrison-Naslund terrorizing the D-corps everywhere. Coincidentally Team Vigneault did have a tough time with mucho a giveaway in their own end leading to goals against. After a pivotal goalie swap (where Burke did a brief but memorable Patrick Roy up-yours-management display) the play was a bit closer but still too much of a lead and too little time to work with. Play was pretty choppy for the most part, but expect the teams to gel and the excitement to heat up!
