Team PUDDIN POPS 9 vs. Team BLUEHORSE SHOE 10 Friday, April 18, 2008
Best game of the series to-date... amidst a relatively kooky start due to a no-notice rink change and some wacky snow for late April no less... music was on tap nonetheless with Nazareth, The Cult, Whitesnake, U2 and Pink Floyd in the playlist... meanwhile, Terry Wong sees his first action of the series and works off the rust, while Colin Lee makes a long overdue (and stellar) return in sub action... latter has glory in his hands on a 30 sec left breakaway, but was unable to beat sub goalie Jason Zeidler and his legion of fans at his own personal cheering section... both teams had playoff-like efforts tonight with Peter Choi leading the grind effort doing whatever it takes to claw back from a 5-0 deficit... miraculously, both teams battled to a late 9-9 tie, but Team Bluehorse Shoe pull away with a late goal to ice their third straight victory in a close affair...
MDHL STARS OF THE GAME |
---|
| | Colin Lee Tested that sore back nicely by blazing around the rink and not missing a beat. | | | Jason Lai Happily scored a hat-trick and game winner, but sadly had to turn away a player from an overloaded bench. | | | Young Yuen Pinch-hit a few shifts, then gracefully made way and packed it in amidst a roster mix-up. | | | Jason Zeidler Another rare return to action to test those almost-new pads and gets the win in front of his fans. | View the lifetime game star tally.
