2008 SPRING SERIES: MDHL GAME #4 REVIEW

Team BLUEHORSE SHOE 9 vs. Team PUDDIN POPS 5
Friday, April 25, 2008

Aerosmith, Pearl Jam and the Cult rock the pre-game but both teams played with less sharpness than previous outings... regardless, it was close for the first half with low scoring and both teams deadlocked at 3-3 for the longest while... visiting Calgarian Tom Jong makes a rare and welcome appearance but notably a step off with foreign equipment and sans jock... enough to make anyone skittish no doubt... Jim Chan practices his soccer skills by kicking in a called-back goal, while on the other end, Jay Estoque played valiantly in goal but gets peppered all night long for his efforts and a loss to boot when Team Bluehorse Shoe manage to pull away and not look back... Peter Choi successfully lobbies for a penalty in the dying stages but twas not to be with the game too far out of reach...

MDHL STARS OF THE GAME
  Anthony Chang
Led the way and brought his A game with a few timely goals, but not enough to get the win.
  Terry Wong
Finding his form with a few hardworking goals of his own tonight.
  Jason Lai
2 goals, 2 assists, 2 penalties... kinda Gordie Howe like?
