Team TSUNAMI 7 vs. Team HURRICANE 6 Friday, November 7, 2008
Put an asterisk around this victory as score-gate occurs at the end of regulation when all team captains dropped the ball on synchronizing the game tallies, ending up with some confusion on a regulation win, or tie with sudden death... after some ad-hoc, peer-pressure auditing, it was deemed the former, but made for an ambiguous end to an otherwise spirited game... Jim Chan goes AWOL on his team (while actually stranded at a 7-11 with car troubles on the way to the rink!)… Ray Chan makes the most of his penalty-bracelet calling a penalty on a player who done him wrong... how convenient... both teams wanted this one, and Norm Chan played a particularly gritty (and crazy) stint on D blocking shots with reckless abandon... another rare penalty shot is awarded but goalie Jay Estoque was equal to the task... meanwhile at the other end, Aaron Oye stood on his head with a ridculous save on an otherwise empty net... Toli Sidoropolous swoops in uncontested in a nice roofer breakaway, and alas, the game ended with a tied series... so somewhat fitting indeed...
