SPRING 2009 SERIES: MDHL GAME #2 REVIEW

Team WHITE 9 vs. Team DARK 3
Friday, March 6, 2009

So much for momentum from last week as Team White storm back with a convincing rout of their own... goalies were solid at both ends at it took nearly 40 minutes of action to see the first goal of the evening... Team White were riding on the solid play of subs Orson Low and newcomer Ravi Naidu, with the latter gelling nicely with longtime buddies Frank Riccardi and Peter Choi... at the other end, Team Dark were unable to cash in on their chances and were fighting the puck all night long it appeared... which overshadowed a quiet but serviceable debut of rookie sub Nat Fernandez... over time Team White got stronger and built their lead without much opposition, and so the series is tied early on, almost as it should be.

MDHL STARS OF THE GAME
  Eric Lun
Defensively solid with good decisions from the blueline.
  Orson Low
Controlled the play at both ends, including a nice slapper from the high slot to open the scoring.
  Ravi Naidu
Some instant chemistry in his league debut and dangerous all night long.
