3-Way Champs Wrap It Up

With hockey season now behind us, the MDPL hosted its first 2-table affair with 17 players in the fold... the christening of the Octagon tabletop was brought out to go with the 'Grand Oval' tonight... good fun had by all, and in close quarters too... the husband and wife duo of Jim and Jayne were banished to separate tables, but the rebuy money came from only one wallet tonight... meanwhile, series leader Peter Choi made a return after an absence from a few events but no leaderboard luck for him as he flamed out in mid-pack... rookies Nigel, Robert, Ken and Jack made good first impressions tonight... but it was the veterans, Stephen, Jason and Norman battling it out in 3-way action to the bitter end and after a chip swirling stalemate... all mutually agreed to divvy up the spoils... in part so Norm could make his 6AM tee time without too much grief! Kudos to the guests for their gifts in kind and also the concluding cleanup effort... 'til next time…
